Big Boy Bed!!

Okay, so my plan with Drew was to keep him in the crib as long as possible, if you know my kid, you know what a monkey he is and being contained is a good thing. Well that plan changed the day before thanksgiving when he crawled right out of the pack n play at my mom's house, so we had to make a palate on the floor and with me sitting there he finally took a nap. Well, I was nervous that he was going to figure out how to get out of the crib.. so after much discussion we decided to at least set the big boy bed up so he could get used to it being in his room. Saturday Kevin and Drew set it up. Its a twin bed, but we started with the mattress on the floor, one because drew is a wiggle worm and might crash on to the floor and two, because half of the bed is at my parents house. Once it was set up of course Drew immediately wanted to sleep in it, so we tried nap time and about 45 mins of him not sleeping I put him in the crib. That night, Drew fell asleep int he car on the way back from my in-laws, so we put him in the bed. He woke up at 1:30 very distraught because he didn't know where he was, so back in the crib he went. But since then with one exhausting night do to a poopy diaper and rain, he has been sleeping there. We don't even have to stay in there, we go through our bedtime routine, give him a book, his buddy, his blanket and his beloved Thomas and out we go and to sleep he goes. he even waits for us to come in the room in the morning before getting out. Its probably beginners luck... I'm waiting for disaster but we'll see!
